The positive driving dynamics of the Porsche 718 Boxster from 2019, flat turbocharger, and four-engine, classic design and fast and soft hood cover make it a spear for sports cars. Low center of gravity and brilliant suspension ensures evenly gripped curves and steering, so that even beginners like Steve McQueen feel comfortable. Most versions function almost elegantly and make Boxster a practical means of transportation for everyday use. However, this is not very suitable for food tracks – what about the small baggage behind the engine compartment and other small baggage.
But this is no different from most sports cars and Boxster can be used for weekend outings if you pack easily. This is of course a head reversal – that is, if you can slow down long enough to give passers-by a chance to see it.
What’s new in Porsche 718 Boxster 2019?
It doesn’t offer much new. The optional sports exhaust system, which was available last year, is now standard in the Boxster 2019 series. The standard Porsche Car Connect system provides information on vehicle status, remote maintenance and remote vehicle tracking. The famous Boxster Spyder returns with a flat six engine with 414 hp for 2020.
Price for the Porsche 718 Boxster and which one should you buy?
- GTS: $83,850
- Base: $60,050
- S: $72,450
Although we enjoy Boxster S in our long-term fleet, it is $ 81,630 and, to be honest, is loaded with extras without which we cannot live. However, for additional performance and features, we will choose a more powerful S model, such as: B. bi-xenon headlamps, LED rear lights, two USB ports and red disc brakes We will be wary of these options because of the extra list of Porsches that length can raise Boxster prices to astronomical levels – or at least to levels that can equal 911 productivity; Seat heating, steering wheel heating, and two-zone automatic climate control appear to be useful additions and should help extend the car from top to bottom in challenging autumn months.
Performance, Engine & Transformation
The Boxster is available with a 2.0 liter flat and a 300-horsepower four-cylinder engine. (Basic model), 2.5 liter four liter engine (S model) with 350 hp or 2.5 liter four cylinder (GTS model) with 365 hp turbocharger. All three engines are equipped as standard with an incredible six-speed manual transmission, but can also be equipped with a highly visible seven-speed Porsche dual clutch system. Not surprisingly, our tests on the most powerful GTS models with automatic transmissions pass 3.6 seconds loud between zero and 60 miles per hour. The base model and S, of course, are not skewed on our test track, but with 4.4 and 4.3 seconds results on the same test; the six-step manual is used to test both models.
Boxster’s management and control skills are the most inspiring feature of our emotions. Due to its mid-engine design, the Boxster feels balance and stability in curve, whilst the communicational robust control even on small inputs is fast and accurate. Both Boxster corner models, as if Gorilla Glue has been smeared with tires. Extras like the Porsche Adaptive Shock Absorber System and available torque-controlled rear axle transmission can further improve steering, but even the Boxster’s basic specifications can do what we want, even (maybe especially) when pressed hard.
MPG Real World & Fuel Economy
The 2.0 liter four-and six-speed manual transmission for the Boxster intake engine is rated by the EPA at 28 MPG on the highway and 21 MPG in the city. Modification to an automatic seven-speed double clutch means more than one mpg purchaser for each category, while buying an S or GTS decreases fuel efficacy projections somewhat. Boxster S and Boxster Base and were evaluated on the road and both designs have passed their corresponding scores with an amazing rating of 4 mpg.
Cargo, Interior & Infotainment
The Boxster interior is slightly more plastic than we normally expect from a car that costs almost $ 60,000. However, more skin is available for the tool kit, center console cover and door panel at a reasonable price of $ 500. Two obscure Pop glasses at Boxster showed their German disgust for driving with drinks – after all, the Germans don’t drink afternoon coffee while driving – and that doesn’t help when full ventilation of battens is on board.
Usually we wouldn’t like just two USB ports, but the Boxster receives a pass with only 2 seats in the vehicle. A normal CD player is also available for the riders who prefer highly fidelity audio. Navigation is possible, with 4 G LTE Wi-Fi, and with Apple Car Play, but Android Auto remains unprotected.
The Chevrolet Corvette is the only vehicle in this category that is very helpful for cargos, but both its front and back seats are at least flexible for the Boxster and the Porsche Cayman fixed roof. The trunk is fitted with one suitcase, and the front trunk has two suitcases (frunk). However, there is a serious shortage of cabin storage.
