The dead body of women which was found on Friday in Charlotte has been identified as a 19-year-old college student who had been missing from September 18 in the Virginia Beach area.
Mecklenburg County medical examiner’s office has identified the woman whose dead body was found behind a church on Friday morning. The dead body has been identified as Ashanti Billie, 19, a student at a culinary school in Virginia Beach. She was last seen at around 5 AM on September 18 when she entered a military base, she worked at a sandwich shop.
However, the investigation is going on and the cause or manner of her death has not been released yet. There are no indications how her dead body found up to 300 miles from a military base.
People across the country sent prayers and messages for supports. Billie’s parents thanked them all at a news conference on Saturday evening, they thanked all the people who prayed and show supports for her dead daughter, they also thanked those who helped to find their missing daughter and discover her dead body. Billie’s mother Brandy Johnson Billie delivered a message for those who are responsible for her daughter’s death.
Johnson Billie said, “The person or persons that decided they wanted to take my baby away from us . . . you are a coward. You don’t deserve to breathe the air that she breathed.”
Billie’s father Meltony Billie urged people to help other missing people to find their way to home. he said, “We say to everyone, stay encouraged.”
He added, “This was not one of the outcomes we were seeking, but yet still we stay in the fight because there are other young people who are out there missing. Our desire and our prayers were answered. She’s home. She’s home with God.”
The authorities received a call at around 10:30 AM on Friday and learned that a deceased body has been found in the back of a church, according to the police officials.
